Spooker and the Giant Twist Tie
Blue Wednesday

Don't worry - that's not a skinny snake or a bare wire that Spooker is about to touch - is is a giant brown twist tie from a silk floral arrangement that I was working on.  Spooker used to get twist ties as a toys, until Daphne & Chloe came along.... as kittens, I was afraid that Chloe (who likes to chew on things) would swallow one, so a ban on twist ties came into effect.
However, this GIANT twist tie was the exception to the rule, and Spooker (and Little Isis and Chloe) spent hours playing with it.  Daphne, for the record, couldn't see what all the excitement was about.
Spooker wants to know - do you get to play with twist ties at your house?
ciao for now,
Not The Mama

No, Spooker, I don't. And I'm not happy about it. I'm a big mancat now and I still can't have twist ties or tie wraps or ribbons or strings... I could go on and on.
What's a mancat to do?

No, Spooker, we don't. Gandalf does have a penchant for water bottle caps, though.

Spooker, I'll play with anything!

By the way, I've got a friend who's now 102 feline years old - she's on my page. Do you think she might be one of the oldest living cats??

I let my cats play with the twist ties from the bread if I am supervising, but not unsupervised. The string they play with is attached to a stick.

I just gave you House Panthers an award--here's the link to it http://karenzemek.blogspot.com/2008/08/thanks-for-award-kim.html
Go see!

ever since Cocoa got one stuck in his throat, no way. the Lady gets all psycho if she sees a twist tie, a rubberband, or a string on the floor. sure, she's got plenty of junk on the floor (and we mean PLENTY), but it's all too big for us to swallow. this morning Grr got hold of a really long plastic strap like goes around shipping boxes, so the Lady let her keep it for a while.
