It's a gray Monday in Chicagoland. It's been gray and drizzly for days now. Every time I think I can go mow my lawn, it rains. We needed the rain here, but now, not so much. The gray is getting to the house panther. She "yelled" at me to get out of bed a full 30 minutes BEFORE the alarm went off. I have no idea why, either. The food and water dishes were full and I cleaned the litter box Sunday afternoon. So, we're all grumpy.
At work, one of my company's web sites is not working. Equipment is not working. People aren't returning calls so we can plan out the next two days. Matt and Tara have monopolized the microwave so I can't reheat my lunch. And then, a news story comes across my Facebook feed. Wait...I know this face.
Was it here or from another of the cat blogs I frequent that I stumbled upon the Facebook offer from the artist who runs One Drawing Daily? You just need to like and share his post on Facebook and then send him a photo and you could see your pet's face as a drawing. Of course I had to send in my house panther's face.
What would he do with a long-haired black cat? I think the result is wonderful. In another month, I need to remember to send in a photo of Pilchard's sister, Mija. A tortoiseshell should be easy, right?
So, if you are on Facebook, hit up his page. Send in your house panther's photo. It might be your regal feline's image he draws next.
Love,
Pilchard's mom

Fun with Photoshop
Bean played a bit with photoshop filters. Not the Mama was doing it with some of Little Isis photos, and she wanted to try it with me.
This is the watercolor filter. I think the photoshop of Little Isis eyes turned out much better. Perhaps on a different picture?
This is the Neon edges filter. I like the way this one turned out. I think it is my favorite of the experiments, as it makes me look dark and mysterious.
This is the poster edges filter. I suppose when I become a Celebricat, there will be lots of posters made of me, and they will look like this?
This is the glowing edges filter. It's kind of cool. We will have to try this one on different photos...maybe something with more white edges or perhaps a Mardi Gras shot where I'm wearing my fancy collar. It might yield some interesting results.
