Julie: Nothing beats a sunny morning like a sunny windowsill.

That sun feels SO good.

Midnight Monday with Julie

Julie:  I am very happy because we had sun and warmer 

temperatures this weekend. I was sitting in my favourite 

window in the kitchen soaking up those warm rays!

The sun was so warm, it made me sleepy.

 Mmmmmmmmmmm, I love sun. 

My body feels warm  and I like that.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I should get up and do something else.

It feels mighty comfy here though.

Nope! I'm going to stay here and enjoy the sunbeams!

Nothing wrong with a good snooze in the sun.

Mom was happy this weekend because she saw our

first daffodil in bloom!

Spring is here !

I Am Black ... Sort Of

Mom has a degree in Art. You can tell when you look at the walls in our house. She spends months searching for just the right color. Color means a lot to her. So, here I am, a black cat. Black, in lighting, is the absence of color, but in paint, it's the mixing of all colors. Mom says, when the sun shines on me, I'm not completely black.

She says I reflect the sunlight and there is a brown color in my fur.

I don't know about all of that. I just know that resting in the sunshine makes me all warm and toasty. Mom says I take really good photos then, too.

Midnight Monday with Tillie and Julie

Julie: On Saturday it was sunny and we were on the porch.

It was SO warm there and pawsome for snoozing!

 Tillie: For once I agree with you Julie. It was nice and waem

on the porch!

The nice warm sun felt good on my furs.

The enclosed porch keeps all the wind out too.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...

On Sunday, it was quite cool and very rainy!

We did not go on the porch as it was cold.

The porch is not heated.

Julie: That's right Tillie. We had to snooze in the house.

At least it was cozy and warm.

Today is sunny, but since Mom is at work, we cannot get on 

the porch. Darn !
