Geezer Panthers

Since I just have purrthday, I found this interesting. The May issue of Catfancy Magazine have the oldest living cats. Two of them are House Panthers.

The oldest cat was Baby who was 36 years old when they take this picture. Baby lives in Deluth, Minnesota. He came to live with her humans in 1970 as a kitten. They said he is still in good health and has been interviewed twice by their local TV station - once when he turn 30, again when he turn 36.

You have to admit. That's one heck of an accomplishment - to have lived that long.

The 3rd old living cat was Beets at the relatively young age of 27. Her human say she find Beets as a kitten when she was about a year old. She has a bit of a problem with her balance, and she takes daily medication for a thyroid condition. Beets has a younger fur sybling, Tootsie, who is 26. It did not say if Tootsie was a house panther or not. Supposedly both cats will go in for a spot of playing now and again, and love to get catnip.

We not really sure how old I am...the vet thinks I am 7 to 9 years old. I think I have used up several of my 9 lives when I lived feral, so somehow, I think I be lucky to make it to 20, let alone close to 30!

I thought my house panther friends might find this pair interesting. Purrrrhaps one of us will break these records?

Wow! That's really great! Wonder what they eat? We hope we'll be able to live long healthy lives like that.
