Midnight Monday with Tillie

If you have visited Georgia, you know Mom was busy  this
past week.On Thursday,Mom and her sister and her sister's
hubby went to Lunenburg to see the Tall Ships.
Mom had seen them briefly in Halifax, but this time they
went on most of the ships.

As a result, they were home late and Mom did not help us do
a Friday post!! Mom was tired Friday, so we did not visit!!!!!
We all are quite miffed at Mom!

Anyway, Mom is going to show you some pictures of the Tall Ships.
On the way, they stopped at this piece of the Berlin Wall
in Lunenburg. That is Mom's sister and her hubby.

Here, they are on the ship Roseway looking at the Unicorn,
 Lynx and Providence.

Lots of masts reaching skyward.

The masthead of the Unicorn.

Crewmember of the Lynx tending to business,
making adjustments to the rigging.

This is the Bluenose 2, the pride of Nova Scotia.
As you can see, it is in the midst of a major refit!!!!
Almost totally rebuilt, you can see progress on  a webcam.

Mom also saw some cool horses at the Tall Ships event.
This horse is having a rest and a snack

This fellow is finishing up a tour and will be ready for
a snack too !

I hope you enjoyed this little tour!
I hope to have Mom back on track soon!!!
That will be a big job! Heeheehee !!

Your Mom sure gets around! You need to nail her down with your sleek furry black body.

Tillie, we know that you would rather have mom home, but we do enjoy the photos of the big ships. It reminds my woman of the sailing she used to do, too.

Noisy, big men chewed holes in our ceiling last week. We hid under the bed. So far, that's it. Purrs.

Gosh is that all that's left of the Berlin Wall? I visited Berlin in 1991 and there were lots of the inner wall still standing. There was a huge expanse of empty ground in the area that would have been right behind it. There was still a lot of rubble. We picked up a couple of small bits of coloured rubble that we think were part of the face of the wall. I guess it is all built on now.

A friend sent us a postcard from Berlin just this week. The picture is of Checkpoint Charlie. When I saw it it was all rough and run down, like an old shed. Now it is all repainted with a big flag on top! LOL
