Down Under Sunday

Hiya House Panthers! It's time for another Down Under Sunday installment!

Today I thought I'd show you some of the nice places in Melbourne. They say that Melbourne is the sports capital of the world so we have some very big sporting stadiums: the biggest is the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).  It holds 100,000 people and has lots of sporting events all through the year.  There are also concerts held at the MCG - U2 performed there last year.

Melbourne is also famous for its gardens.  There are lots of big gardens right in the city but the biggest is the Botanical Gardens - I don't know how big the garden is but it's very large!

One last picture for today - this is the main beach in Melbourne - called St Kilda beach.  It's only 10 minutes from the city and there are so many cafes and shops and fun things to do there.
Hope you've enjoyed your trip around Melbourne with me this week!

Stygian Saturdays: The First

Greetings, my fellow House Panthers, and welcome to the first of Stygian Saturdays! My name is Stygia, and I am a very investigative reportcat.

You may be wondering to yourself, "Why Stygian?" Well, first of all because that is my name. That part is of course obvious! However, I realize that everycat may not have encountered this word before, so here is a link that will explain to you why I have my name, and the definition of the word stygian.

Each Saturday I will be doing a feature on a variety of subjects important to us House Panthers. This week's is going to be short due to me needing to attend to some family issues and me needing to be there for them. However, I will cover one important topic: The Proper Surroundings For A House Panther. Here, I am demonstrating being in a proper location for a House Panther. What makes it so proper? Well, most importantly, the hamper I am occupying is black. A House Panther should strive for harmony in his or her surroundings, because we want to look our best at all times. Any black surface or material will do. For instance, if your human wears black pants to work and comes home and lays them on the bed before hanging them up, a proper House Panther will immediately sit down on the pants. Be sure to look so comfortable that your human will feel bad if he or she tries to move you or remove the pants.

All right! Now that we have covered that basic tenant, I would like to encourage you to leave a comment here for me suggesting anything you'd like to see here in the future. You may also send email to me at the address I share with my sister, tabbynormal @ gmail dot com. If you write to Dear Stygia for advice, I will try my very best to answer your question on my next Saturday! Also be sure to visit my sister and I at our regular blog, Tabby Normal and the Stygian Panther. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thursday is Grrsday

Grrsday should just be pictures of me, but those kittens (Rascal & Riley) are celebrating their one year Gotcha Day and their first birthday today, so I thought I'd show you some pictures of me with Riley. She wasn't always scared of me. She used to try to cuddle with me all the time. Of course, that was before I started stalking her and trying to eat her.

If you wanna say Happy Birthday/Happy Gotcha Day to Rascal & Riley, stop by the blog.

Hello!

Hi! My name is Stygia. I am new here at House Panthers and to my home. I have a sister who is not a house panther, and I don't like her much yet. I am a 2-year-old female pantherette, recently rescued from the claws of the SPCA by my family. I'm going to be presenting Stygian Saturdays each week for you, and will expound on the great virtues of ourselves, the house panthers!
You can also visit me at me and my sis's blog, Tabby Normal and the Stygian Panther, and my catster page is here!

On The Island With Ernie

Hi everyone! I love to play in the room down below. There's a lot of stuff down there to mess with. Mom says it's stuff for her garage sale...but I don't know why she needs all that stuff to sell a garage!

So yesterday, when Dad opened the door to the room down below, I bolted down the stairs before I could be stopped. Only thing is, that she-devil Zoey followed me down. She's so wild! Guess she hasn't worked out all that feral-ness yet. I thought if I hid from her, she'd just go away and leave me alone to play and explore...

With my laser vision, I'll be able to see if she comes this way...

I don't think she sees me here!

Shhhhh! She doesn't know I'm here!

Hey, she can't find me! I think she's leaving!

Yeah!! The Hunter of the House wins again!!!
