Open windows
Mom and Dad have been doing some painting, which means the windows have been open. It's been warm here, so we've been able to have some open windows in the afternoons. You just can't beat the fresh air and birdies.

Sunday Smudge Update
Smudge finally decided to talk to me for a little bit. I even managed to coax a faint purr from my dearest buddy. It was pretty short lived though, he took off as soon as he could. My only thought was that as I watched him slink around the corner of Grandma's place was that his tail was pointing upright, the sign of a happy cat. I thanked him for letting me know that, or at least I thanked his back end, because that was the last thing of him I saw.
As for how he is doing, he is slowly becoming the gorgeous cat he was before his CRF diagnosis. His coat is as luxurious as always. His spine is slowly being covered with a nice healthy layer of muscle and fat.
His new friend, Chloe, sat with me as Grandma and my Wife gave Smudge his fluids. She sat and chatted and told me that her and Smudge play lots this week and that he is her bestest friend ever. I told her that is good because once apon a time, he was my bestest friend ever.
My wife says that Grandma has pictures of Smudge enjoying his new home. Once I have them I will post them as part of Smudge's Sunday update.

House Panthers Are Hungry
I don’t know if it was the catniptinis or Brandi’s sweet kisses at the party, but it reminded me of this song mommy and I like to sing. It is to Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon with a House Panther twist...
I saw a House Panther with a Seafood menu in his hand
Walking through my hallway in the sun
He was looking for a place called Mee Mo Took's
Going to get himself a big dish of tuna chow mein
Me-ow, House Panthers are hungry
If you hear him yowling around your kitchen door
Better not let him in
Little old lady fed floofy litlle kitties late last night
House Panther’s are eatin' again
Me-ow, House Panthers are hungry
He's the hairy pawed kitty who ran amuck in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
Better stay away from himHe'll put the bitey on your hand, Jim
I'd like to pet his tail - o M
Me-ow, House Panthers are hungry
Well, I saw Lon Chaney petting a Panther Queen
Petting a House Panther Queen
I saw Lon Chaney, Jr. petting a Panther Queen
Petting a House Panther Queen
I saw a werewolf drinking a catnip colada at Trader Joe’s
And his hair was perfect
Me-ow, House Panthers are hungry
Feed me.

OK, so it isn't great, but it's fun!

Labels
Huggy Bear again... I had a thought when doing my last post. Since there are a bunch of us who post here, if we use our name as the label, that would let someone follow all the posts about one of us. That way, if someone wanted to follow Smudge's stories, they could click his label and get all the Smudge posts, and the same for all of us. Just an idea, let me know what you think.

I made it to Dad's desktop
Huggy Bear here ... I'm excited because I managed to unseat Jasper from Dad's desktop wallpaper at work with my latest picture!

Dad has always fussed because he tells me how handsome a boy I am, but that the pictures really don't capture my face quite right. But in this picture Dad was very happy with how everything balanced out just right. So Dad bumped the big ball of orange fur from his work desktop and put me on instead. In this shot, I was studying the backyard for some birds that I knew were coming, or had visited, or should visit soon, and would be fun to watch.

Sunday Smudge Update
Hi Furriends!
Because of my new brother, Baci. Dad decided that I should be given my own place to post stories about what is happening. And since I already posted here before, it just seemed right to post as a House Panther. So now it's time for the Sunday Smudge Update.
Mom and Dad came to visit me at my new home and give me the Fluids. I'm not overly crazy about being given fluids. The last two times weren't bad, but I really really did not want to sit still for Grandma and Mom.
I let Dad hold me for a little bit, because Grandma and Mom wanted to know if I had gained any weight. Dad says that it sure feels like I have put on some muscle mass on my shoulders and on my backs legs and hips. I didn't want to stay any longer than I had too so I ran away and hid under the bed as soon as I could.
Grandma told Mom and Dad that I and Chloe have been playing like crazy with the Whirly-Bird toy that Skeezix gave me for winning his contest. It is the best toy ever. Dad says that is probably helping gain some weight too. Diet and Exercise, he says, Diet and Exercise.
